This was made last year, the entire point of the dress was using at least 75% of the fabric on perfect bias. Still it seems I just canít stay away form boning.
I took and original empire dress pattern and slightly modified the top since I didnít want a sleeveless dress; then I bought an absurd amount of bias ribbons (different fabrics, colours and width) and weaved them over the corset.
The bottom are just several yards of various fabrics draped and painfully 1/8 of an inch baby hemmed.
this is stunning. i love the waves and colors you used. all it needs now is some wings.
i like it much.
It's got a beautiful gossamer quality to it.
Like it would float gently as a fairy walked
in the morning mist in it.
I want one!
I'm appalled you don't think it's one of your best.
It's leagues above my usual gowns, I love the way the hems fall leaving the bottom of each layer in a little loop. I can just see the dress moving in my mind.
I love the color. And you gave me an idea for one of my next cosplayes, this will hopefully solve the problem. I love the layerd skirt.
Sorry for that Valley moment, it's a splendid design that could probably be worn on many a body time and still look fabulous.
Congrats for the DD. You deserve it immensely.
